Virgil Abloh, creative director, designer and founder of the brand Off-White is, definitely one of fashion's favorites. A member of Kanye's team for over a decade Abloh has served as a creative influencer within the fashion industry over the years. After launching Off-White four years ago he became even more, well known and has without a doubt swayed the street-wear culture as we know it.

The brand most noted for it's diagonal black and white stripes has become a closet staple for many household names, worn on the likes of Kanye, Beyoncé and many others. Since reaching notoriety Abloh has shown himself to be a true innovator as he extends his clothing brand from being just that and much more.

Terming himself "creatively schizophrenic" as mentioned in W Magazine, it's evident that Abloh does not lack in anything relating to creativity. With a knack for conceptualizing new ideas it was recently announced that Off-White will be collaborating with IKEA. Known to many of us, as a really cool furniture store it is set that Abloh will be redesigning their classic Frakta bag.

Set to put a new spin on the bag Abloh, gives contemporary art a new found structure with some of the prototypes he's already started which display the word “sculpture” on it. His architectural background definitely serve as a prized tool for the ideas he’ll be coming up with for this new project. It's interesting to see the blended lines interchangeably used in both the fashion and furniture world. We’re excited to see the things Abloh has up his sleeve in collaboration with the world’s largest furniture brand.

As we await the bag’s release date we hope the price tag doesn't sting like the $2,145 Balenciaga IKEA look a like bag did.
