How do we feel about these new Y/Project thigh high Ugg boots? Are these a fashion "do" or a fashion "don't"? It seems like the verdict is still out on that as the internet has been in a semi-frenzy since its release. Recently debuted at Men's Fashion Week in Paris, these thigh high Ugg boots have garnered quite a bit of attention for their rather interestingly constructed silhouette.

So, what's the story behind it? Well, Y/Project creative director Glenn Martens explains with Vogue that, “Putting on Uggs is like putting your foot in a warm pot of butter, and I thought why not elevate that and immerse your full legs.” He goes on to say, “So we decided to design an Ugg boot that climbs up to the crotch and covers the whole leg.”

Still, I remain unsettled on this shoe as a whole not only because of its rather unusual tailored look but the high-tailed price tag that follows. Ranging anywhere from $270 to $1,380 anyone looking to purchase these boots can expect to be spending big money. It'll be available for purchase this fall so until then we wait to see who'll actually be wearing these. But, perhaps it's a shoe that has to grow on me? What are your thoughts, are you feeling this new thigh-high Ugg boot concoction?
