5.) "Hit The Ceiling" – Lion Babe

There is no other duo out right now that brings a sound like the immensely talented group Lion Babe. Made up of vocalist Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman, Lion Babe brings funky grooves to records and a vibe brighter than any other. That’s exactly what they are bringing on their newest released single "Hit The Ceiling," which was recently posted to the duo’s soundcloud. Once again it’s a record that doesn’t disappoint as Jillian recites lyrics to uplift us all over a 70’s influenced beat produced by Lucas.

It’s definitely a song that will get you through your low times throughout the week. Check out the new gem below.

4.) "Way Back" – TLC (feat. Snoop Dogg)

It’s very rare that a 90’s group can come back in 2017, drop a new video, and get over 1 million views in just two days. Well, it turns out that’s exactly what 90’s super girl group TLC accomplished with the new video for their recent single, "Way Back". After a huge hiatus from making music, the group is back and set to release their first full-length album in 15 years! The new single however brings back that old school vibe as if they never left. With a little help from Snoop Dogg, the song takes you back to more simpler times with lyrics praising passed on legends like Michael Jackson and Prince while also reminiscing on fun times like high-school parties. The video also gives a happy carefree setting with T-Boz and Chilli being the center of a kickback party in what looks like sunny L.A. Despite the passed time the two members look better than ever and while in the video T-Boz sports a jacket with a heart patch of passed on member Left-Eye, we can assume she’s smiling down on them.

Check out the new video below and maybe we’ll get a couple of unreleased Left-Eye rhymes on the new (and rumored last) album set to drop June 30th.

3.) "Big Fish" – Vince Staples

If you keep up with new and upcoming rappers, Vince Staples better be on your list, he's definitely one to lookout for. After releasing his highly successful project "Prima Donna" and getting a spot on the new Gorillaz album, Staples is back with a banger titled "Big Fish". This tune gives cocky lyrics over a house party beat that is sure to remind you to respect your own hustle throughout the week.

Check out the new video for "Big Fish" below and keep an ear out for the release of Staples new album "Big Fish Theory" set to release June 23rd.

2.) "Girl Like You" – Toro y Moi

Personally this is the one song I’ve been singing in the shower since it dropped. Producer, writer, vocalist, and one of my personal favorites Toro y Moi has blessed us yet again with his talent by releasing "Girl like You" this past Friday. With a vibe that makes you think of an era in the 80’s of chill funky tunes and soft lyrics, Toro y Moi really brings out a sound to make you sway and vibe out to. In the single Toro y Moi ask's the question, “What’s it gonna take for a guy like me to find a girl like you?,” a song crying out for real, true love.

Check out the video below and get ready for the release of his 6th studio album, "Boo Boo" coming later this summer.

1.) "Go Gina" – SZA

Now with her debut album "Ctrl" holding the number one spot on the iTunes charts, SZA could have probably secured all five spots on the list. With "Ctrl" being a true emotional experience from beginning to end, SZA was able to present her personal stories in a way that can relate to us all. One track titled "Go Gina" is a song where SZA is telling us to go get "it," no matter what 'it’ actually is. With a dreamy melody and lyrics repeating, “Do what you need... Go Gina” this track just radiates self-love and letting all your insecurities go.

Listen to "Go Gina" below and be sure to listen to "Ctrl" in its entirety through Apple Music/Spotify now.
