Gucci donates $500,000 to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student's gun-control rally set to take place this month in Washington. Inspired by the strength and courage of students affected to speak out on the matters keen to them the brands creative director Alessandro Michele expressed the following in a statement with WWD: "I am truly moved by the courage of these students,... we stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority."

Serving as a space for young creatives, Gucci's efforts extend beyond fashion. Using their influence and vocal power to bring awareness to things that affect us all, the brand's approach to activism showcase the steady shift toward togetherness within our society. "My love is with them and it will be next to them on March 24. I am standing with March for Our Lives and the strong young women and men across the United States who are fighting for their generation and those to come," Michele told the publication.
